Review: Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger

So I didn't really plan on reviewing this. But by episode 32 I couldn't help but type about the good and the bad, which ended up being a lot so it became a full review.


For those wondering I'm going off the Over Time subs, lets get started.

Juspion episodes 6-10 review.

It's that time again.

Episode 6.

Juspion learns from Anri about a remote village in the mountains where the local children are taking care of a baby Megabeast. Wasting no time, Juspion heads out to the village where he discovers that the infant, Gelgon, is being taken away (possibly to be euthanized) much to the dismay of the children. Juspion vows to get the creature back, but little does he know this is part of Mad Gallant's plan.
After rescuing the creature, Juspion and the children are attacked by Mad Gallant and the children taken hostage. Juspion at an impasse. But he and the children are saved by a new mysterious man, named Boomerang.
During the incursion, one of the parents of Gelgon shows up simply wanting it's child back, but is sent into a fit of rage by Satan Gorth.

Kyojuu Tokusou Juspion ep. 1-5

So my original plan was to watch one episode from three different Toku shows. Gavan, Juspion, and Zubat. With the idea of doing one review on each first episode and possibly following it up with ep. 2, 3, and so forth. That fell through because reviewing three shows simultaneously is utter madness.

In any case the series I've chosen to instead review Juspion in 5 episode batches. I mainly decided on Juspion because I loved the OST.... and because I couldn't find English subs for Spielvan.
I'm hoping to do this on a weekly basis (No promises) I've never done anything like it before, but we'll see. I'm also trying a new review style here, attempting to be as direct as possible with the overall plot synopsis and goings on of the episode and then breaking down my thoughts on the story/characterization, the SFX, and sometimes music. Before, I used to talk about them as if I was watching the episode while reviewing. But suddenly stopping to talk about designs or music extensively seemed...sloppy. So I'm gonna try out something new.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Story

Taking place in 1944 right in the middle of WWII, we take on the role of Johnathan Morris, the son of John Morris from Bloodlines and Grandson of Quincey Morris from the novel. In addition to Johnathan, we also have Charlotte Aulin, a distant relative and descendant of the Belnades clan. With the Belmont family still missing since 1797, it is left to them to defeat the lord of the the castle.
Along the way they will have assistance from a friendly Priest named Vincent who will give them items...for a price of course. They will also meet a mysterious ghost simply known as Wind, who has been bound to the castle since death. Johnathan and Charlotte will also learn that Dracula has not been fully revived, but another vampire by the name of Brauner, has taken over the castle.

 Story

Taking place in 18XX (What is this Mega Man?) The Belmont Family has been missing since 1797. But with the strong possibility of Dracula's revival looming, several organizations have appeared in the Belmont Family's absence to rid the world of Dracula.
At the forefront of these organizations is Ecclesia, headed by Barlowe who may have found a way to destroy Dracula using a type of spell called a Glyph. This particular Glyph set is made up of three different spells and when combined they form Dominus, and it is of immense power.
